Defending life keeps us all mindful of our death. We all end up there because of our sins. The greatest of all virtues is prudence. Prudence ought to tell us to be mindful in all of our human concerns. Prioritizing a woman’s right to choose is a put down to every faithful man and woman. To reduce life to a choice after a woman has chosen to sleep with a man or if God has allowed some other situation to manifest, is to escalate the value of conduct in life over life itself. Once a society says words matter more than conduct how can we maintain a culture of compassion, responsibility and protection for the very foundation of life, the family. If we cannot defend life for itself how can we trust anything or anyone and what does that do to our culture of freedom? The freedom is for pleasure, no its for attaining to a greater virtue being a good person who is humble and values life and others because of their Love of God.
